Make a company-wide declaration announcing your participation in Maine’s RFW program.

SAMPLE: “(Company) is committed to creating a healthy, safe, and stigma-free work environment through our participation in the Maine RecoveryFriendly Workplace (RFW) initiative. RFWs encourage environmentswhere employers, employees, and communities can collaborate to createpositive change and eliminate barriers for those impacted by addiction. Inorder to achieve a high level of employee health, safety and productivity,we invite and encourage all employees to reach out for help and support.”

Receive official designation by Statewide RFW Program Office.

Schedule quarterly RFW training and education for staff. This will be assessed to fit the needs of your business.

Establish connection with your local RFW Recovery Advisor and recovery center as a resource for employees.

Utilize the Recovery Friendly Workplace Toolkit and materials to put principles and practices into place.

Provide new hires with Recovery Friendly Workplace information and resources to promote health, well-being, and recovery for themselves or family members.
