Line Cook at Higgins Beach Market $500 End of Season Bonus

Higgins Beach Market is looking for full and part time Cooks!
This is a temporary position, with the season ending in early September.
Back of house employees that stay through the end of the season will receive a $500 bonus in their last paycheck.

The Big Tree Hospitality Team is gearing up for it’s sixth season of bringing exceptional service and made from scratch food to this quaint little market that serves the Scarborough and Cape Elizabeth beach communities from May to September.

Ideal applicants will be hard-working, detail oriented, have a positive attitude, and be able to sell alcohol without supervision. Base pay range is $15.10-$18 + tips, pay range listed on the posting includes an estimated average of tips.

Responsibilities for Cooks include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
• Undertake basic cooking duties and protocols
• Complete opening, ongoing and closing station duties and cleaning tasks
• Perform dishwashing tasks and kitchen maintenance cleaning tasks as needed
• Follow the prep lists created by the Kitchen Manager or Shift Leaders

Qualifications and Physical Requirements for Cooks Include:

• Understand and be familiar with common cooking methods and basic knife skills
• Fluent in English language (writing, reading and speaking) and ability to communicate clearly
• Ability to move at least 50lbs.
• Ability to work and move around the floor for extended periods of time
• Ability to work with shellfish
• At least one year of experience cooking in a restaurant or food production (preferred)
