HR Generalist

TITLE: HR Generalist

HOURS:  Full time, hours flexible

PAY RATE: $60,000 annually

LOCATION: 4 days on-site, 1 day from home if desired

Our Human Resources team keeps our staff happy and well-informed, and we are looking for an experienced Human Resources professional to keep our team organized, compliant, and engaged at work.

ABOUT THE JOB:

·         Onboard new employees and ensure they undergo appropriate new hire training

·         Maintain employee records physically and digitally

·         Complete OSHA, Workers’ Compensation, and unemployment claims

·         Process benefit enrollments

·         Plan and execute employee appreciation days

·         Organize employee training sessions with external vendors

·         Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

·         Conduct background checks and employee verifications as needed

·         Be readily available to receive feedback from employees and mediate conflict as necessary

ABOUT YOU:

·         Experience working in Human Resources; hospitality experience a plus

·         Ability to handle confidential information with care

·         Confident having difficult conversations and mediating conflict

·         Eager to engage with employees and make positive change in the workplace

·         Approachable demeanor, trustworthy

·         Willingness to further education and seek out opportunities to learn about new and changing practices

·         Proven success working on a team

SYSTEMS USED:

Applicants need not have experience with our particular HRIS systems, but should have experience using HRIS and should be proficient in the Microsoft and Google suites.
